Where does Your Username come from?

Cryptid (n): An animal that has been claimed to exist but never proven to exist.

Much like how I feel about my own life -- people say that I am important to them, but they never say it to me.

It's as if I don't really exist.

The creature in my current avatar is an Al-Mi'raj or Almiraj: A mythical creature resembling a one-horned hare or rabbit, mentioned in medieval Arabic literature. The name appears in a version of the legend of Iskandar who, after defeating the dragon of Dragon Island in the Indian Ocean, obtained the animal as a gift from the inhabitants.

A creme liquor- Rumchata made in Wisconsin. So l removed the rum, added Aspy+chata. Baileys is another creme liquor but l couldn't meld it with aspie. Maybe l could have gone with Aspyabbit, taking it from rabbit.

I wanted a feminine username and being so Misty is a feminine name I thought that would be a good choice, plus it's my favourite girl's name anyway. And Avich is just a cool addition to give it a more unique feel. On another site I was on I stupidly chose a masculine username and everyone kept mistaking me for a male. It wasn't offensive or anything, it just got annoying when I was talking about wanting to be friends with girls and people kept misinterpreting it as wanting to date girls.
I don't have that trouble here, as I haven't been mistaken for a guy yet.

MC1R is one of the main genes responsible for red hair... and I have red hair
and I love cats... my only life-long special interest... so much so, that I used to pretend I was a cat til I was 7 years old

I thought you had used your real name all this time.

I got the inspiration for my username from the following song. Sadly, I didn't realize when I created it way back in 2011, that it also meant 'lightning war' in German and was/is associated with Nazis.

I used the same name here as I did on another autistic forum for purposes of familiarity across the different websites.

Mine is my initials. And I've been told it fits my personality pretty well.

I used to like The Learning Channel before it started showing reality shows.

As for the band, I could take it or leave it.

Best one I heard was a guy in college, asked me if it meant "Tastes Like Chicken" ?

It's a made up name, though I really feel like it represents my the alien nature of how I am as a person. Especially the choices I made in my upbringing. My Uncle even tells me he's never met anyone like me. So yeah...

TLC is short for tender loving care where I am
