Hi,

My name is Mark and I’m a geek in wild shirts. Problems at work prompted a push for a diagnosis, which I’ve successfully lobbied to be expedited. As my introvert personality ebbed in my 30s, in my 40s this opened a Pandora’s Box (Boundaries, Bigger Picture, etc.). My Foster Brother is classic Aspie.

Yes, I feel fragmented, all over the map, rather than integrated & whole at this juncture.

I do hope so. It affords more protection, as I feel too vulnerable to work F/T and reestablish my career without, and an answer to lifelong puzzlement's. I've ordered this book, but alas its section on "Reasons, advantages and disadvantages for a diagnostic assessment" will be read with hindsight...

I think if the autism has already caused definate problems (ie. at work), its not a bad choice to get a diagnosis.
