I bought a rapping, dancing penguin for my grandson. My daughter's going to hate me, but I think it's funny.
How are the schools up there? Most hear nowadays don't have recess, wood shop, metal shop or music class anymore it's sadI'm installing a play corner in my grade 6 class: kids just don't get to play often enough: I will add a bunch of cool toys they'll love (by polling them to find out what they love to play with beforehand.)
The common belief that Scandinavian countries have one of the world's highest depression/suicide rates is untrue, it's believed to have started due to a 1960 New York Times on suicide rates around the world that mentioned Sweden and Finland simply because they were two of the few countries to have any data on that:
A sticky myth about Sweden
Although, if this is anything to go by, there could be a slight kernel of truth to this idea (the article never explains why The Netherlands or Switzerland have noticeably higher depression rate than surrounding countries with similarly crappy SAD-inducing weather).
Which countries have the highest rate of diagnosed depression?
I need an actual hug, from somebody that understands the value of a full body, real life, scented, non sexual (shouldn't have to say that), warm, unbiased and loving hug, a hug that makes a human react with bliss and understanding of the wonder that a hug is.
Can't remember if I said this one yet but I have two facebook accounts because I'm tired of my family knowing everything.
....I post a lot. I'm still battling how much I post each day and it's really hard...
This remains the only place I ever deliberately come to for the purposes of socializing. On purpose.
Sounds uncomfortable.
