I will add that I'm not really a fan of "chick" as a descriptor for women.

Nor am I, to be honest. It seems to stem from a certain about of sexism (see terms: "chick-flick;" what [the horribly misogynistic] Quentin Tarantino calls "chick-vision," etc.).

But, if a woman doesn't mind being called a "chick," well, that's fine with me.

Absolutely! We all make errors in judgment and an apology goes a long way. It doesn't mean I'll easily forget, however.

I really don't understand people. I get apologies, but why would you want to even start a relationship that already has been "tainted"? She demeaned you by attacking your looks. What will be next - your personality? Maybe your job or your friends? I honestly think you're on the rebound and its not going to end well.

It gets worse when one considers the possibilities of a "catfish" scenario. Where there are a multitude of issues for people to be dishonest with total strangers...on a spectrum of anything from pathetic to malicious. And everything in between.

Which may be more about random or specific trolling than anyone seriously looking for romance. Be careful out there. Unless a couple physically meets at some point, there's no telling how disengenous things may actually be.
