Reminds me of 1984's "unperson" concept. Of course they don't torture you for acknowledging the prior existence of an unperson on WP, they just make you share his fate and bring the banhammer down on you.

Alex claims no one is perm banned but if that's so, then why doesn't he answer any emails? I heard he doesn't reply to them. When I was banned as likedcalico, I sent a message asking why was I banned, no response. But when I logged in under Spokane Girl, I saw my two adult topics were removed so I figured I might have been banned for that and I guess he had the last straw. I got told by another WP mod at zomg that's what I was banned for. But she isn't a mod anymore. She stepped down because she decided to go back to school. She doesn't even do zomg or WP anymore. I heard WP did have good mods when it opened but Alex has made poor choices picking his mods over the years now. I never had any issues with Lau or Maku but I did with Sins now.

I am sure there are lines drawn to how many chances you get at WP because anyone can keep getting their bans uplifted and breaking the rules again intentionally and causing trouble. So as a owner, you have to decide "enough" and not ever uplift their ban, even when they try and appeal it.

Yea, apparently it is true as a matter of fact... makuranososhi, Fiz, Maybe Lau are actually alright as moderators, they seem fair and they let you have your speech of mind, I know makuranososhi does and Fiz...

Can't they unban you or give you another chance? Because in my opinion, I think you should of deserved another chance.

Alex gave it to me in PM because he was giving it out to people who have been there for a while and have many posts and asked me to not give it out because its for people with many posts and who have been there for a while. I found it weird because I thought he hated me. I was told he doesn't like me and he thinks I'm sick and disgusting. I saved it to word pad for in case I got banned and good thing I thought ahead of time.

Thank goodness, at least on the brightside, you could try and call him if you can.... maybe he might help you sort out the situation for you.. hopefully you should be able to get unbanned or he might give you another chance most probably.... lets hope he does because the posts seem kinda dead since you got banned.

Lol I don't like WP anymore. Not after I started looking at the Planker that runs it. $268 a month for a server bill ? What a load of ole' rubbish

I've worked in web hosting for over 3 years. You don't need a $268 a month server for hosting a forum. It's WAY OTT.

I've read up a lot on servers and hosting in relation to forums and spoke to our web host about it over the past week or so.

At some point, if we grow big enough (which I hope we will), we will have to look at moving to a dedi server. But that's like... 5-10k+ active members territory. WP is massive, but their server spec and cost is outrageous. I agree they need a dedi, but it's far too high spec for their traffic.

A lot of forums run off multiple high-spec servers, so it isn't to be ruled out.
