Aluminum foil question

It would be perfect, if you had a Magneto helmet to foil over. Instead, yes, use cardboard in short time, unless you have EVA foam for use. Hot glue stick for adhesive, if you have that - it's the fastest way to go. As his helmet was crumply looking, though, you don't have to have it look "perfect/nice/smooth."

I definitely want to see your end result pics. I help and do cosplays more and more lately. It's great to escape into characters.

I'd think the most important thing about using aluminum foil on your person is to neatly fold it wherever it may touch the skin to avoid any potential discomfort. It also may prevent tearing as well.

There are some textiles that are covered in foil because it needs heat shielding. I think that could possibly be easier to work with because it doesn't tear as easily as regular foil. It's easier to shape and glue it on stuff and work with it. Try doing a search for "Metalized film and foil backed textiles" for example. Or "aluminum foil coated fabric".

I was originally using foil to line my failed "Faraday Bag" I bought from Amazon to inhibit my car's keyfob from emitting signals hackers use to steal modern, highly technological cars. The bags turned out to be quite fragile, eventually allowing the tiniest of holes to make it all fail. The foil was a half-hearted attempt to fix it.

It seems everything made in the 21st century seems to based on the notion of generating repeat customers rather than make anything that truly lasts. Of course the foil would tear as well, even though I was coating it all with tape. Never considered gluing it.
