I've read some of what you've written. I'd say it's often thought provoking. In a passive-aggressive community you'd probably be put down for being outspoken and an advocate. In other places like, say, New York City you'd fit right in. I grew up in a passive aggressive place. It drove me crazy, because I can't decipher all the codes.
Perhaps this worries you, but I can see some advantages to what you're describing. After years of being canceled and marginalized, I now realize why my father was "quiet, but clever." It's usually not a good idea to suppress yourself to please other people, unless you're violating their boundaries. Today we live in a society with blurred boundaries, so even this is hard to describe.
Man you are on about that
Toronto is a passive aggressive city, so that definitely plays a part
I am a huge fan of MLK. I believe he had a great vision that ultimately benefited all of humanity, not just black people but people of color as well
Just like the 60s, I feel like society has gone backwards. Instead of advancing, we have decided to remain confined by suppressing those who express hope
I don’t know. I guess I will have to identify better. I am I convey most of my messages through writing and people who read my work likes it, so that’s a plus
