Any dog lovers here?

I can't have dogs anymore due to lifestyle (wouldn't be fair on them), but my Newfies and Leonberg were my best pals.

Newfies are my favorite!!!!
I just got a westie pup. Took ages to decide what sort as i love too many. I really really really wanted a big dog but as I'm still in apartment living it wasn't going to be fair on the pooch. Westies don't shed fur like most, have big dog personalities and are fiercely independent. Cheeky as hell as it turns out.

We've had kelpies, border collies, mini bull terrier, golden retriever, chow chow, akita.

Wanted to foster greyhounds too and do the guide dog puppy thing.... too many paws...not enough space!

If I was allowed Pets at the Flat, and thought I'd be able to see to it, I'd have a little West Highland White Terrier, like the one that won Crufts week before last :D

Cute little dogs I think, used to be one that came in our local Pub called Sam, but he sadly died last year (well the poor lad was quite old by dog years), we always used to feed him on Cheese and Onion crisps in the Pub!

Grew up with dogs though, mainly Flatcoated Retrievers, although Dad did have a German Shepherd called Rebel for a while, and a Briard called Becky.
Briards are great. There's a couple near me who frequent the local market and are always good for a sneaky pat
I just got a westie pup. If i can only work out how to upload a pic....the upload file isn't working an this ferkokta phone ... grrr

I have a 10 year old Male Dobermann.
He is my heartbeat. I depend on him alot. I have spent many years training and socialising him to be a well balanced and obedient dog. This was essential in my opinion due to the breeds tendency to guard.
If I am walking him and I'm anxious he will remain calm, obedient and sociable enough.

I understand him and his signals or body language far better than I will ever understand people. He has a knack of calming me when not much else can. He has a thing he does which I now associate with the realisation that I am getting into a state and need to calm down.

I'm not certain I will find another dog quite like him. I obsessed with my training of him which has paid off ten fold. He's my one in a million and I will be truly lost without him.

Omg I can't believe I missed this thread.

I love dogs so much. I can't help myself petting them when I'm out for a walk, especially at the beach.

I need to get my own one someday, no matter what anyone says. (When I have my own place) Definitely!
