Anyone Here Into The Paranormal?

Been interested in the paranormal for about 10-12 years, especially the stories of the subjects being studied. For example, a woman's husband dies in battle, she dies heartbroken shortly afterward, and her soul spends all of eternity looking for her husband in the place that used to be her house. Stories like that are so fascinating.

I believe, thinking that currently scientificatly proven facts are permanent and that there's nothing beyond what our perception allows us to see is ignorant. A little aggressive? Yes, so what. I'm in a bad mood right this minute :) to be fair I believe that absolute faith in religious dogma is a sign of ignorance as well. But then again, who am I to judge? Maybe I am the fool. So be it. But I will remain true to my beliefs. :) seem a little hypocritical ... :) again... Talking to myself... :)

And I think I might have written a post, started a thread about something like that a while ago...

And I like an idea of angel even though not particularly believe in exact existence of winged beings but somehow I like the idea :) I strongly believe psi abilities can be developed with training. But you do need to know what you are training. I think it's sort of like... You want to make a certain set of muscles stronger and start exercising but if you don't know exact exercises that work for those muscles, you'll be just wasting your time....

That's it for now... I guess...

People around here are pretty accepting, so I wouldn't worry about the "out there" part. I shared some stuff and folks, who read my posts were fine with everything :)

I'm interested in spirits, ghosts, demons, etc. This can also relate to history from very ancient to modern. Anything else unexplained. I'm keeping it general for now.

If you want to share some of the things you've experienced and don't feel comfortable posting it here, you can send me a message :) I'm always interested to hear about things like that. I'm more of a "positive spirits" person. I try to avoid anything that's seems to be of a destructive nature :) Just a little note. One time (not going to go into specifics) a person disappeared in the neighborhood. I "looked" at her - that's how I call it - checked her energy fields. I knew right away, that she was dead. I became so damn curious. So I started looking into it some more. I saw some info about the way she was killed (which was apparently confirmed by police reports later on) and the place where her body was (also confirmed). I didn't check for exact location (I'm not that gifted :) ), but just the way the place looked, what was around. But that's not what bothered me. When I started digging for information I felt uneasy, as if somebody was surrounding me with more info about different deaths, and, personally, I didn't want to deal with death, so I shut down. One of the reason's why I don't like dealing with dead people, especially if they died unwillingly or suffered, is because of the "heavy" feeling they give me. The same type of feeling I get when there's increase of violence in the neighborhood. So, at this point, I only want to deal with positive things. And... despite of all the experiences I've had, I still can be very skeptical, but nevertheless, I'm often amazed by all the information that comes my way seemingly out of nowhere. I really wish there's something out there communicating with me, not just my damaged temporal lobe playing tricks on me. But it's not easy to become a complete believer. That's why I call myself in-between-believer :)

It never is easy as I'm sure you know, and it's a good thing it's not easy. That's a healthy outlook, and a balanced one. All the more necessary as a human. It is important to keep that balance. I figured I'd respond to this in an effort to keep this thread going.

Some folks around here might appreciate this:

Wow. This is odd. I think logically and am an atheist and haven't seen proof of ghosts, and I always thought it was the Asperger's syndrome that made me think as logically as I do, but here we have Aspies who believe in ghosts and God. That's a shock for me.

Don't you hate it when you know that something unpleasant is about to happen and there's not much you can do about it? :) I want to do something to prevent unpleasant events but it always seems, if I try something I'll be interfering in some universal law, as if I'm trying to fix some mechanism without any knowledge about it: let me move this part a little to the left, oh, crap, it's broken now... :) eh, well...

@SUM1 everybody has their own logic, there's no universal logic. So to some no-god is logical, to some god is logical, etc... And again, it's not a fact but my personal belief :)

I have had a few unexplained things happen in my past, perhaps it was only child hood paranoia, but it sure scared the crap out of me. What I get for messing with Ouija board I guess. Whether my occasional random "predictions" were as I see them now, nothing more than using logic and reason to predict the most likely outcome, I have to go with logic because that's just how I work. I do miss the freedom of my childhood imagination. My mom and grandmother often have claimed dreams in the past that appear to fit with a specific situation in the near future, my Grandmother isn't a liar, so it's either some form of imagined predictions, or there's a whole lot more that comes with the heightened sensory levels. I've heard story's of my Great grandmother doing this as well, I have also heard my great grandmother was quite insane at times (descried more along the lines of having schizophrenia than autism in many stories, but they were all just hear say stories from relatives) It's been years since I've noticed anything of note so I honestly can't tell you whether it was my imagination or something more. I was deer hunting in rural Georgia as a young teen, I was sitting in a different stand from my normal at the edge of our property line. I had been there 30 minutes or so and I swear I heard a female voice whisper my name "James....James", I was so certain that I decided to leave my tree stand and walk back to the field where I had parked my atv to see if perhaps my mom was looking for me. When I got to it nothing was disturbed, but I was so certain I decided to just head in and make sure everything was okay. I had everyone around that would have known where I was and even the ones who didn't. Apparently everything was fine and no one had been towards where I was the entire time. I'm still nearly 100% sure I heard my name called, no one ever fessed up to it, so I really have no idea what random chick would have been that far in the woods and just happen to know my name. This is the only instance in which I'm sure was not my imagination, I have other experiences but I'm unable to remember anything else this significant. Interpret as you see fit, I honestly don't know and have yet to return to this hunting area.

It's quite possible if I've never experienced anything myself I would be an atheist. But I have dealt with so-called paranormal experiences my entire life. I can not possibly ignore it, so I've decided to embrace it. I have been born with temporal lobe trauma and had issues with frontal lobe as well, but many of my experiences can't be explained by some brain dysfunction...

Thank you for sharing your story. It resonates...

If you are to use this, it's best to use it in the company of certain people who have the experience to effectively deal with whatever may decide to play games. Many do. There are countless numbers of inter-dimensional, astral (call it whatever you feel comfortable with) scam artists out there just waiting to take advantage and they are very skilled at what they do. It's everywhere, not just on Earth or even in this universe...Everywhere... Exercise extreme caution when working with such things as Ouija.

I do miss the freedom of my childhood imagination.
Children are very intuitive. They have yet to have their minds shaped, molded, and trained in ways that would suppress certain natural abilities which we are all born with. Children are more naturally attuned with the moment as opposed with their own minds. Most adults are enslaved by their very own minds and it becomes a life long struggle to work with it and through it.

My mom and grandmother often have claimed dreams in the past that appear to fit with a specific situation in the near future, my Grandmother isn't a liar, so it's either some form of imagined predictions, or there's a whole lot more that comes with the heightened sensory levels. It is very possible your name was called. On so many occasions in my life I have heard my name called as well. I also find it very interesting that you stated that the name was called twice. Same thing happened with me...except I was not hunting. Your story resonates with me and so I take the time to write here. You aren't alone.

Idk, it's a bit out there.... Haha.

It is a bit out there, however he and I share the same experiences, I find it hard to blame it all on my imagination now. He shared with me before I gave any details, there is absolutely no way it can just be coincidence. When I read his description my entire head was covered with "goose" bumps, I have never been so chilled in my life.

Discussing paranormal matters is not always the easiest thing to talk about. But when you find people who share different experiences it can be very interesting. This stuff is interesting without a doubt. I like this thread and appreciate the information from many of it's contributors.
