Anyone on here have a man cave or she shed?

Yes my shed is a labour of love and also a nightmare I started off with one big shed which was wooden and then in 2015 I decided to extend and my empire has grown in 2013 I went to the cinema and watch The Lone Ranger and I fell in love with the railway carriages so my first plan was to have a curved ceiling but I decided to do something a bit different and ended up with what I have got now which I love and I don't know the exact measurements. If you pick my shades together it's about 70 ft long by 13 ft wide and my friend is a heating engineer so he got me a gas boiler and it runs off bottled gas and yeah I do like antiques not that I have anything of real value but better quality compared to the crap we buy today and I can remember what else you wanted to know if there's anything in particular you would like to know just drop me a message and I'll tell you what do you want to know

I'm very impressed with how totally sophisticated it is for someone your age. Great work!

Now everybody will know where he is kept.
Ah! Then my house has one of those. I call it the zombie chamber. These guys haven't decorated, but two of the three have impressive computers set up. Wherever I need a man, I just look in there and find one.

My decorations are not particularly feminine and I don't mind feet up, though I do sometimes ask to turn down the loudness. I guess that's why my husband and teenagers haven't felt any need to decorate any room in a more masculine way. My decor consists of simple plain curtains and rug, and a few framed impressionist prints.

Or maybe they are only looking at their screens, so don't care what the rest of the male storage ;) room is like.

We have a "barn" which is a prefabricated two story shed. Someone used to live there, and they've done some work on it. It currently is "finished" but doesn't have much style and the plumbing needs work. We use it to store things. I'd like to turn it into something useful and beautiful, but haven't yet had time. It has an upstairs room with good light, and downstairs is a room with a small kitchen and full bath room, but not very good natural light, and the porch is screened and pleasant if we clean it up a bit, paint, and add furniture.

Maybe I'll be inspired by this discussion to move it higher on my list.

What's the rent?
Can I have a reduction for laughter?

Sounds like a plan go for it clear the clutter and make your own space and within those walls it can be your anything

I do have one room of my own but it's pretty much a studio with paint and stuff everywhere, and next to my husband's office, so it doesn't have the same feel a shed would have. I'd love a shed out back to hide in. It's not that I feel the need to get away from my husband, just the house, it sometimes feels too busy. It's close to the street, the phone rings a lot, chores needing done, ect...perhaps someday I could just burrow into my growing compost pile and have a Hobbit house:).

I think you're fabulous

I have an "Office" both here and up at my Parents', which houses my PC, TV, Sky box and Xbox.

Although at the Flat, my PC and TV/Xbox are in different rooms.

I usually just hang out in our home office (mom and I share the office) or my room if I want privacy. There are some of my paintings on the wall in the office but that's about it. It would be nice if it had more style but I don't think mom and I would ever agree on a design. I've got wall hangings up in my room of butterflies mostly and just my bed, nightstand, dresser, and bookshelf really as it's a small room.

My living room is my geeky man cave. Comfy couches, a humidor, bookshelves full of manga, video games and Blu-Rays, and five different gaming consoles attached to a 49" 4K television set and high-end soundbar. There are also many framed movie posters all over the walls.

Well then you would like to spend the day in my home cinema what films are you into

A lot of people say that but most people wouldn't spend the money I have spent over 20,000 on my shed so lot of money but I love it

You have not met the right people. They would indeed. There are people who spend $10,000 on their dog house! I know someone who creates models and 1/12” scale miniatures for people all around the world. His clients will pay $7,000 to $18,000 on one room box. And they will buy several throughout the year. He knows a lot of people like that.

Once people tap into the upper wealthy classes, they always have lots of friends, and they all want to use your services also. There is money in your skill sets.

Your screening room really does remind me of the old Victorian train cars of the old west.

I have an attic that I have made into a man cave (but I'm a girl so I guess I should call it a girl cave!) I will try post some pics of it. I love it up there, I have a uv light and various other mood lights up there, I have a sofa stereo, TV and all my old games consoles set up. The walls and beams are all painted black and I put a stud wall up so the bit I used can be completely shut off.
