Are there any kid shows that you like?

All I ever watched as a kid was Disney cartoons. Then when I was twelve I decided I did not want to watch cartoons anymore. About ten years ago some kids were telling me about Spongebob and showed me one of the films. I liked it so much I started watching cartoons again. I forgot how funny they were. I watch Ducktails, Scooby-Doo, The Pink Panther, Popeye and several other shows. I try to find more and more cartoons to watch. One of my favorite cartoon movies is the Lion King because of the nice music that is in the film. Elton John wrote some of those songs.

Generally am appalled at “modern” children’s TV programming except for Electric Company and Sesame Street.
So was this British father-to-be, and his response was to commission his own idea for a cartoon series: Dad creates kids' TV series to sow seeds for future generations

‘When you are expecting a first child you know people are going to warn you about the sleepless nights and the lack of time and how much life changes. But I noticed for a lot of parents one of the things that really drove them bonkers was their children’s television programmes – often with storylines that didn’t seem to promote strong family values or reflect the interests of the children I knew. Most children I know love nature, animals, the outdoors and are excited by the idea of grow your own. I was disappointed not to see any shows reflecting all these themes.’

For the Lion King Elton John wrote all the original songs music and Tim Rice wrote the Lyrics. Hans Zimmer did the film's backround soundtrack. Bits and pieces of other older songs were also used (ie. The Lion Sleeps Tonite).

If it's a good show then i'll watch, regardless of it's intended audience.
They've already been listed by other members :)

Avatar was good; Legend of Korra was really good. I felt these shows didn't insult their intended audience (pre-teen kids, and early teen kids respectively) with dumbed down plots and sloppy attention to detail. Yes there were a lot of goofy elements, but no saccarine sweet cuteness that drives me nuts (you get that in some Japanese shows). But Legend of Korra really hit the sweetspot for me in terms of more mature themes without losing some of the younger elements from the predecessor.

To go on a slight tangent, I LOVE Miyazaki's movies, and collect as many as I can on DVD, such as Nausicaa, Howl's MOving Castle, and (my fave) Spirited Away. All excellent movies.

Tangled the Series, Steven Universe and Duck Tales are my top free right now but I like a lot kids cartoons such as We Bare Bears, Adventure Time, Star Vs the Forces of Evil and Emperors new School.

I used to watch the original Basil Brush show, and then about 12 years ago they did a new version starring the gorgeous dark haired girl whose name I can't remember, and in later series a hot American girl called Madison Square Garden.

Ha ha ha! Boom Boom!

The dark haired girl in Basil Brush was Georgina Leonidas, apparently she was in one of the Harry Potter films as well.

Can't beat attractive Japanese girls in short dresses either.

The ones in the actual animes are two dimensional cartoons of schoolgirls therefor the length of skirt is not an issue either way lol.
I do love the voice actors and their live shows. They are very talented women and I have great respect for their talents and hard work. I think I answered that in a politically correct manner lol.
