AS Skype Convo.

Sounds alright. I don't know what i'm doing on Friday but I will try join in. I will most likely just freeze again but meh.
 
Well me and Benedict have invited over 20 people so there's definitely gonna be split conferences so you could probably get in one with only like 3 people P:.

Split conference? That's the one thing which would confuse me.
Unless there is a way of making a chatroom on skype, which I think they already do, hopefully I should be able to sort that out.
 
Yeah there's chatrooms but the thing is that we're gonna have to split up the conference into groups 'cause there'll be too many people.

I have skype but no microphone because I just use it to chat (text chat) while I watch and listen to others.

Even if I had one I struggle even talking on the phone so wouldnt manage especialy in my house full of people. I wish I could though :(.
 
Robert, you should join anyway and just listen at first to familiarise yourself with everyone's voice. That's what I did and now I can talk to people on it. At first I completely froze and it took me like half an hour to even say hello (the very first convo I didn't speak at all) but now i'm straight in with the conversation. If I can do it then so could you.   :)
 
but it alot harder than that. I even struggle talking to my family on the phone its that bad. And Its just if i was out alone somewhere , I could struggle through it but when im in my house with others here its impossible as i dont want them hearing me speaking on phone or on mic or anything :( it sucks cus if i have a girl im like trying to end up dating or something and she wants me to skype or phone her I cant. I can cam but thats it and only once my whole family are in bed. My camera is now broken though so that part even screwed. I find talking on phones and mics harder than anything cus i hate the sound of my voice. Speaking in person is even easier than that and i find that alone aswell. Like just now there this girl and she really wants to talk to me on phone, the most i could get is saying hello and bye to her voicemail when my family were all out of the house. That still upset me and i cried but when i cant do it i cry like she phoned me at 10.30 and she knows how i am and sh ephoned cus i phoned to see if she was okay cus she was gonn aget up at 9 but decided on a long lie. she was just telling me she is ok and said its ok if i dont talk cus she understands its hard for me and stuff and she knows i have self-suspected aspergers.
 
 That sucks, Robert. I can understand your situation. I've defeated some fears (well, almost) and when I did I realised that it wasn't as bad as I first thought. Hopefully you can have similar success too.

Anyway, you're welcome to join the next Skype convo whenever it is (I need to ask Emor about that) even if you just want to listen. We're nice people.
 
yeh thing is i know its not scary or anything its like i cant do it , it frustrates me alot!. I have learned myself to manage to answer the housephone if im only one home. But sometimes I pretend i was in toilet. I stil lstruggle and I usualy forget to ask who it was or something or say something wrong liek i cud say thank you for them calling.

Thats been years of that took to do it really.

and cheers if its in a good time for me i might join and listen in and might try type something if you lot see the typed but while you chat meeting thing.

If i get this girl to end up going out with me or something i currently see on skype and hear. I may in future take part with her here helping me to contrabute and stuff cus she cud take her cam with mic on it to use for the mic and she cud help me talk and make me more confident with it so who knows.

Benedict's hosting a large AS-only Skype conference on Saturday but I doubt I'll turn up because I think they're stupid and AS-supremacist.
You're not doing your self any good thinking you can only socialise properly with ~0.6% of the population.
If anyone wants to talk to me they can Skype me whenever (Y).
Most of my friends are NT anywaiz...
