Asd level 2 support living

Hello I am awaiting ndis and am wheelchair bound and non verbal due to a dual diagnosis of FND and asd level 2. While waiting for support I am living with my mum who I have to be dependent on and is hard as everyday is unpredictable and often I don't get access to basic needs because she can be emotionally unstable and hurtful so I withdraw.

I have had transient living for as long as I can remember as I haven't had the right supports despite trying many things. Has anyone successfully managed to get sda with ndis and an asd diagnosis? Would love to hear experiences, or suggestions. Thank you

Hi, welcome.

Sorry I have not experience with this things, I hope someone else can give you the info you are asking for.

HI and Welcome to the Forums

I am unfamiliar with the acronyms
NDIS
SDA and
FND

but we probably live in different countries - so I am sorry but I cant help you.

Hi and welcome to the forums. I'm also ASD2 and I was offered help to get NDIS assistance during my diagnosis, but I've lived by myself for so long that the idea of people coming to my house freaked me out a bit and I said no.

I live in Adelaide though and it's a bit different here compared to the rest of the country. I was homeless for a while and put myself through one of the homeless support projects to get a Housing Trust home. I don't think they operate in all states, only NSW and SA, try contacting Junction Housing if you live in one of those states.

I live in US. I am not familiar with the acronyms. My brother was diagnosed with Level 2, which is, probably, incorrect.
Welcome to the Forums!
I think your countrymen can give you a valuable advice.
