Autigender, Gay and proud

I can't imagine what use we would have had evolutionary wise.
Yeah some of us are smart, but we barely reproduce. Doesn't get passed down, and now we're just a gaggle of miserable weirdo's on the internet.
I guess we keep video game industries afloat?

I maintain my belief the GLBT community was hijacked by transtrenders and weird millennials who desperately wanted to be special.
There are only 2 genders, intersex is a medical condition, not a gender. You can't be both genders or no gender. Or whatever bizarre mix there of.

I agree. There's way too many gender labels now. I liked the idea back when it was just LGBT, that's it. You are who you are and that's fine, that should always be fine. You don't need to put a label on it, that just boxes you in. I think most of it is just the younger generation - I'm a 90's kid, and this sort of thing was just getting started when I was in highschool. I think in their haste to be able to label themselves and feel inlcuded/accepted/whatever they overdid it. Its way too complex now, I think.

Autism Spectrum Disorders in Gender Dysphoric Children and Adolescents

A scientific article linking higher rates of ASD amoungst transgender teens.

My opinion and addition to this discussion revolves around my personal experience. I sometimes refer to myself as Autigender because there isn't any other label that fits as well as this one. This is despite those that call it a joke, or those that claim it is disrespectful of those with actual Autism.

Since I have actual Autism and I use this word to describe myself, the word is valid. Additionally, many times I don't have the words to describe a clear concept in my head. This is a symptom of Autism and my gender is something that I cant otherwise describe in words.

I am not saying everyone with Autism is transgender, what I am saying is, there is a particular kind of Transgenderism that only an Autistic Transgender person can experience.

This research does not state it explicitly, but I infer this to be the case.
