Autistic Positives

Maybe being autistic is why I have always been so open minded. I remember in eighth grade in the private Christian school I was attending at the time, the teacher made my entire class watch this five part mini series of videos called Hell’s Bells which some guy in a mullet was talking about 80s pop music and why it was”evil” and my class believed what he was saying and there I was bored after an hour or two and doodling Pokemon in my notebook and constantly questioning the guy inside my head. I even asked my teacher why he was saying all of that and her response was so unsatisfactory and didn’t even answer my question at all. All she said was “If it doesn’t praise God then it’s not good for you to listen to it.” You can find one YouTuber review and reacting to these videos. It’s ridiculous because the guy in the videos called Joni Mitchell “evil” because she was quoted saying “Art is my muse” and the guy claimed that the muse was someone named “Art” and thus an idol instead of art being a conceptual concept of inspiration to make something that would touch people. He also called Whitney Houston evil and not a Christian just because of her song “The Greatest Love of All.” Oh and he called Madonna an ex porn star just because she posed nude for a photoshoot before she became famous.

Just solved another minor real life puzzle, We own a strategic piece of property close to a lake very popular for fishing. Some body parked their vehicle on it even though clearly marked no trespassing. Wife called police who traced the individual who then stated we had given him permission he then said the owner was in jail.
I was wondering where that story came from He must of done a property search found my name googled it found my namesake a year younger than me birth date 1 day away, who had been in jail in the past.

The last time I served on a jury, at the end I was sure the other jurors would not see things the same way I did. When it was time to start deliberating, since everyone was sort of shy, I offered to go first. I summed up my impression of the evidence, saying I thought the prosecutor didn't meet his burden of showing the defendant was guilty of the elements of the crime.

I was absolutely shocked to learn that most other jurors agreed with me. It took about an hour and we reached a unanimous decision to acquit the defendant. I'll tell you what--that was one of the rare times in social situations when I wasn't the odd person on the sidelines.

Being able to gather a lot of info, and condense it to what l need. I also have empathy for others that have a tough path like myself. The underdog in me always understands we all have obstacles, doesn't matter if you are NT or ND. I do love to solve puzzles, l love being challenged. I won't shy a way from learning something unless it's too dry.
