Best stimmy foods

I'd never considered my preference for crunching as a stim. Learn something new everyday eh? :)

@Sportster - when you catch yourself grinding, rest your tongue between your front teeth. Relaxes your lower jaw a little. (Preventing head and neck ache)

Notice how you feel next time you do it.

It relaxes me and I feel more centred.

Once started the munching can get out of control though. I ate nothing but dried and chilled apricots for tea as I couldn't stop. You can get sulphite free ones which are much nicer and kind of black.

eat something salty before you sleep or you could have a distressing visit to the toilet

Interesting subject. Now that I think of it, I do enjoy the sensation of biting into nuts that aren't too hard.

I love roast potatoes, esp with gravy. And oven chips with aoli. Potatoes are such comfort food. I dont like crisps too much because they dehydrate me.

For crunch I love roasted beans from the asian store - they are broad beans I think, roasted with onion and garlic. So crunchy and savoury.

Throughout the day I like to sip hot drinks. Ive recently given up coffee as my nervous system is too sensitive and it encourages overstimulation (not directly, just a contributing factor, and good to eliminate). I love this decaf coffee replacement - ive never tasted one that is actually good - previous ones only made me nauseous. I make mochas, frothy cappuccinos, or just an instant cup with some soy milk. It so nice, this is where I found it: Dandy Blend, Instant Herbal Beverage with Dandelion, Caffeine Free, 7.05 oz (200 g)
Eating makes me tired, so I most often just sip drinks throughout the day, have a small meal/snack in the afternoon and a bigger meal in the evening to soothe me into relaxation. I always have to have something to drink though, in the day: green tea, water, hot water, ginger tea, water with lemon, black tea with soy milk, or this coffee sub. I really think its a soothing stim
