How do you take your caffeine?

Or do you avoid caffeine period?

I love my black coffee, I will say that much.

I mostly drink herbal tea, but every now and then I have tea with caffeine, or a cappuccino. I’m quite sensitive to caffeine, so I have to be mindful of my intake to avoid unpleasant side effects.

I usually drink one or two cups of coffee a day and on the days I work my second job, I usually drink Mt Dew to keep me alert and awake.

I remember when I didn't see Mountain Dew for years. When it came back though, it didn't taste as good. A bit like how original Sunny D tasted.

Ahh...memories. And here's me getting angry at spending thousands on dental procedures.

I guess quitting all those sugary drinks is too little, too late.

I drink a lot of coffee. Not so much tea, but I don't dislike it. I just find the process of making a coffee a lot simpler, and it's an effective hit of temporary focus.

I do enjoy French Press and proper coffees. But when I drink that black, it's often so strong that it is more of a treat now. Also it is so bitter it dries my mouth out, which is rather unpleasant.

When I first got my current French Press a few weeks back, I was using it back to back for weeks, and I ended up ruining the enjoyment of it. Certainly a lot more of an intense experience. Then again, when you're drinking half a litre of espresso, it's bound to be a bit fruity.

I have a handful of energy drinks a year. I was never overly keen on them. I dislike all the flavours except original Red Bull and Red Bull Blueberry. I have tried most other brands, and it just tastes like I'm drinking sherbert.

I drink a lot of black percolated or vacuum-brewed coffee and occasionally tea; prefer green or herbal tea to black tea under most circumstances but black tea is definitely good.

Coffee is good stuff, but I don't drink it for the caffeine; caffeine doesn't affect me as much as I think it would. Maybe I built up a tolerance.

A hot cuppa joe is what I need in the morning. I have a love-hate relationship with dark roasting. While I do like it for its assertiveness, dark roasts seem to eliminate regional differences in flavor. I especially enjoy the shade grown varieties from Costa Rica, or a good Sumatra. However a most memorable cup of coffee was from a storefront roaster near the Fuente de los Coyotes in the Parque Centenario Coyoacán. I love such shops.

Coffee and tea.
Drinking caffeine doesn’t keep me up at night (usually) and I’ve been told that it’s because of my ADHD but idk if that’s true or not.

I've had an anxiety disorder my whole life so I usually avoid it.

When I have to stay up and I'm tired I just toss whatever instant coffee I can find into some milk and chug it down I suppose.

When working the night shift I would get home and brew some Lapsang Souchong before turning. Our black cat at the time, Maggie wiuld sit on my lap. My, how remembrance of flavors can stir memories.

Caffeine gives me a good 5-10 min jumpstart but that's it. Useless but still hard to cope without it.

I can't have caffeine due to health conditions. Before my conditions worsened, I was very sensitive to caffeine in general. I was mostly a green tea drinker back then.

My college has a black tea machine. It'd probably give the Brits here indigestion but it's exactly how much caffeine I need, since coffee's too strong.

Tea when I awake. But always, I have a glass of H20 first.

Coffee, with cream, in the middle of the day. I don’t like sugar in coffee or tea.

For me: no to soda except plain seltzer water.

The Other:
every once in a while I have thick hot chocolate. I add a little cornstarch to thicken it up, & then a little vanilla & cayenne powder.

How could I have forgotten to mention hot chocolate?? :)
I always add vanilla to mine too!

I usually drink coffee and tea. Sometimes I have sugar free Mountain Dew if I want to drink a soda.

Mountain Dew. If drinking the bottled stuff (usually if I’m traveling), generally 2 of the large-ish bottles of it early in the day.

If instead drinking the nectar of the gods- er, I mean, the fountain drink version of Dew at my local gas station, it’s just the one big one, also early in the day.

They know me at that gas station. They all know me there. The drink costs exactly $1.11 (including tax) and I somehow manage to pay for it with exactly a dollar bill, a dime, and a penny each time.

The funniest bit is how the transaction sometimes goes. The lady who I see the most often (and who my mother and stepfather know) knows that if I’m there, I’m probably going to get the fountain drink by itself. So, often the interaction is that I’ll walk over to the fountain machine, start messing with it, she might walk up next to me and say something like “Ya got the money?” And I just hand it to her there and she takes it back to the counter and does the register thing and I simply walk out.

Feels like a back-alley sort of deal without actually being one. And yes this is in a super rural area.

I usually have a coffee in the morning and I also like cola but I have to be careful because I am very sensitive to caffeine and I use to drink way too much cola when I was younger.
