Can my PC run this?

Well... I guess I best go to the nearest chip7 shop. But first I have to sell my place, and have money left over from buying the new one 😂
 
And if you have any thoughts of overclocking a cpu or gpu, consider passing on that idea. Just run standard memory speeds in accordance with the cpu/gpu.

Overclocking=excess heat...more wear and tear on components. Cooling is a much greater concern these days given how powerful cpus, ram and gpus are. Meaning bigger fans and airflow required.

Your graphics card is fine, but if you look for a processor that's compatible with your current ram then you're going to be buying a 9 or 10 year old (but new) processor that can't run fast enough to play newer games. And as these parts get more and more out of date they also become more rare and more expensive. You'll probably find it's cheaper to upgrade.

I just had a quick browse, it seems you pay similar prices to me with conversion taken in to account. You're probably looking at around 300 Euros for a Core i5 and 16 gig of ram with a motherboard to match.

And don't forget to check that your current power supply has the correct plug fittings for the newer motherboard too. That's a nasty trap for young players.

I never overlook, don't want to risk damaging my machine.
 
Usually I just tell people what I want, what I want it for, and let them do the job.

I read about the components and ask which would be best for what I need. The guys, and gals, at Chip7 are pretty good, knowledgeable and reliable. And they also have all the tools, all the space and all to put a PC together.

I'm lazy 😅
I can even install a new SSD, or the RAM, but I'm too scared of doing the rest 🙈 those elements are too expensive to mess with and drop something 🙈

The biggest issue with handling them all is one thing- static electricity. You want to make sure you are grounded at all times when touching them. Just a small crackle of electricity can nuke an expensive memory stick and other things.

The good news is that most if not all major motherboard manufacturers provide detailed information these days usually in the form of .PDF manuals.

I did exactly the same with my last 2 computers. They assemble and test and if anything doesn't work I never get to find out about it.

I used to but there's a really good shop just around the corner from me. If I'm prepared to wait until he's closing shop for the day he'll deliver for free too, on his way home.
