some may find this interesting, more about the above car

when I made 1/4 mile passes, the quarter mile seems to stop time...1/4 mile of pavement seems like hours pass by as the tenths of seconds tick off on the clock...the quest to go faster never ends to approach the milestones placed by others,or exceed them.

to think he drove it on the streets early on.

His current car

6.01 pass on gasoline!...I saw a record get shattered in Columbus one year, both the track record and the topfuel funnycar record got crushed...NHRAs record system now requires you to make a backup run to get the titles so the pass is not recognized by that sanctioning body as a record run...but I did witness it and still think it is awesome to boot...NHRA only runs nitromethane in 1,000 foot passes,so all the old records still stand and anything done now gets records in that distance

the pass I saw was not the fastest ET,but the fastest speed in miles per hour

Victor Bray was here for one for the beach hop meetings, with the black car. The funny part was that he was setting off all the breathalyzer tests with it. Car on Alky.

A interesting approach to slow them down, shorten the distance.
It requires major chassis skills, tons of power and a lightning quick drivers...power adder classes are very flexible for rules as far as boost and chemistry are concerned...correct,not fast, but very quick...I personally love NHRA Prostock...doorslammers with crashboxes on strict formula rules... now that showcases driving skills

Some footage of nostalgia funny cars, the action dosn't star until about 3 minutes in.

I didn't know about the show either. To thing Gene winfield is now in his eighties and still going. another interesting person to look up would be Bill Hines and Goerge Barris.
