Caught one of my stims

This is me, this is what I always do with my hands.
You can hear my "lovely" voice as well, just a couple of words.

During my house hunting efforts today.😆

I had never caught one of my stims on camera. Was editing this to send it to some friends, so they could see how "wonderful" this place looked. Suddenly... there it was. My hand doing the thing it does without me noticing.

Your voice is as good as any other person's voice, soft and gentle, but I know that many of us dislike our voices. :)

I do similar, but with all my fingers and it is a fairly new stim and my husband tends to laugh and mimic me, but so badly, that I laugh right back at him and try to explain that I just cannot help it.

In fact, I have been known to do it whilst shopping too. Flapping my fingers up and down.

I only realised I was doing it when I watched the video 😅 it was like : Hey... look... 😯

I do that with my toes as well.
When I was a kid, my uncle once grabbed my toes and told me to stop wiggling them. I was sitting on the sofa watching tv with everyone else 🙈
He said it was annoying to watch.
My toes... not the tv.😅

Right now l am reading this thread and my toes are dancing, and l am quite fidgety. I thought it was a nervous tick or so on. Now l just except it. It happens when l am just feeling normal. I find now l see it in others too. Like l was being interviewed by a lady who was flapping her hands, and l though oh, she is like me.

its quiet embarrassing to catch yourself doing this, but there is nothing embarrassing in what you are doing in and of itself.
