CHANGE ONE WORD

Original Statement was:
I taught my little dog to chase a stick.
After 146 rounds that became:
Elmo paid a ginormous gastroenterologist to scope his ventriloquist.

It's been about 100 rounds since this was the starter sentence:
My little dog wants me to toss him a stick.
Which seems to have ended up being:
An Olympic fry-cook flips patties through LA fattening innocent yeti.

Stage 3 coming soon...

CHANGE ONE WORD

Change one word from the previous poster's sentence to form a new sentence.
One turn per person please.:)

NEW STARTER SENTENCE IS:

My puppy almost learned to chase a big stick today.
