CHANGE ONE WORD

I meant to post a comparison of OP statement with whatever was current
around #100.

Original Statement was:
I taught my little dog to chase a stick.

The most recent iteration, following the model, is #146:
Elmo paid a ginormous gastroenterologist to scope his ventriloquist.

So...how about 2nd stage of the game?

Are the '3 new words' to be added to the existing sentence?
ooops
sorry
I was thinking about something else.
No, this is the CHANGE ONE WORD game.

But started over.
I am not putting a blush-y face smiley here,
but if I could I would.

THANKS.
I was definitely having divided thoughts this morning....lol
