Years ago we used to go the actual Ghirardelli chocolate factory on occasion in San Francisco. Then go shopping as the surrounding area (Ghirardelli Square) had plenty of interesting little shops. And wind up at "Senior Picos" for a Mexican dinner in the same area.

I love to go to the Ghirardelli factory, too! And wander around Fisherman's Wharf, eating seafood, looking in the shops, and then catch the trolley to Chinatown to eat some more and look in the shops there. San Francisco is one of my favorite American cities. Like New Orleans and New York City, it is unique.
