Comedian Bill Cosby Convicted On All Counts

I was wondering about that too. Whether every tv show Bill Cosby ever starred in has been or will be subsequently yanked from tv stations. I know his alma mater Temple University even took back one of the honorary degrees they bestowed upon him.
They still play Michael Jackson's music on the radio :p

And they sell his CDs on the shelves. Except there's one critical thing to consider in the case of Michael Jackson. He was formally acquitted of all such charges in a criminal court. That "gravy train" really seems to stop when a criminal court of law convicts you. Though it doesn't preclude corporate sponsors from abandoning programming over incidents that don't necessarily involve due process.

In the grey area of the court of public opinion, weird stuff can and does happen for better or worse. It's rare, but on occasion they still show films with O.J. Simpson. But then he too was acquitted of criminal charges of murder. Yet he was also found legally liable for the wrongful deaths of two people. o_O

I'm guessing also that Louis C.K. doesn't have much lined up in the near future as well. He was the comedian I was trying to recall who seemed to put some of his sexual proclivities into his monologues. Ouch. And you never hear about Kevin Spacey any more. Maybe he spends the day playing cards with Matt Lauer. And just yesterday former news anchor Tom Brokaw is now under such scrutiny.

R. Kelly's music is still out there, but he's continuing to face backlashes when it comes to public performances. No telling just how far this will all go in terms of increasing social and legal momentum.

UIC cancels R. Kelly concert amid backlash

Of course if you should break SEC laws or evade taxes, all is forgiven in Hollywood. :p

Only thing that bothered me about Jacko, was that "if you're thinking 'bout being my brother it don't matter if you're black or white", total hypocrisy IMO given that he went from black to white and back more times than a Nun rolling down a hill *gets coat*

I have read that Michael Jackson had
the condition vitiligo, which causes a person
to lose pigment.

According to this article, it was true.
And that the treatments he used for it
accentuated the pallor.
Did Michael Jackson have vitiligo? - Vitiligo Clinic & Research Center

MJ may well have had vitiligo, who knows, but that wouldn't account for the significant structural changes to his face.

It's natural for one to think that along with the extensive plastic surgery to make his face appear more European (white), the 'black to white' transformation of the skin was part of his identity change.

But as he's dead, the truth has died with him.

His plastic surgery is no secret. But then for much of anyone in the public eye, who wouldn't want to alter their face to accommodate their ever lightening skin color that they cannot stop? It sounds sad, but there's also a bit of logic to it given how important looks are to so many entertainers.

Digitally remastered with Will Smiths head instead.

I don't see Will Smith as a family patriarch icon either. He hasn't fallen from grace like Bill Cosby so far. However he did sire one of Hollywood's most obnoxious, spoiled brats- Jaden Smith.

As for two of Bill Cosby's five children, back to the issue of karma of the rich and famous. They're both deceased. His only son was murdered and a daughter died of renal disease.

Maybe Hollywood should just refrain from portraying parents as superheroes altogether.

Good point.

Darn, just when I was hoping for a(nother) reboot of The Cosby Show! They're doing it with Roseanne and Full House (it's called Fuller House now?)...shame, looks like I won't get to see Dr. Huxtable, family and all his friends in their old age now! :(

If the allegations are all true, he had it coming. Things just won't be the same now...it was only a matter of time wasn't it?

"What a long, strange trip it's been."

In approximately and hour and a half, Bill Cosby will be sentenced. Judge Steven O’Neill will hand down his decision, after having already ruled Cosby a "sexually violent predator".

Which would seem to make the prognosis for Cosby somewhat poor in terms of avoiding any prison time whatsoever. Regardless of his health and age. Let's see what happens.

Chances are he'll die in prison even if he gets only a 10 year sentence. Unless, of course. he gets probation but that seems highly unlikely given the number of victims.

His sentence: Three to ten years in state prison.

Probably a death sentence for an 81 year old in poor health. Wouldn't surprise me if his appeal is denied.

He'll probably be a big hit with the other fellow sex offenders in a secure housing unit, segregated from the general prison population.

Amazing to hear that his attorney is going to ask for bail again even after having been sentenced! What audacity. I'm guessing he's going straight to prison this afternoon.

It's just weird to see this. Almost surreal in a sense. I remember the Bill Cosby show when I was a kid in the 80's and now seeing this. It's amazing how much you see the world change when you get older.

Oh snap

It's too bad he didn't just make a run for it. I would've loved to see Bill Cosby's face on the FBI's 10 Most Wanted list.

It is some kind of justice. But yes: he likely won’t last long, between the stress and his age.
