Cooking :)

Convection ovens are great for reducing the cooking time of things like potatoes, and yes it is the fan "Forced" cooking concept. Bake ware may be a factor, but should not leave a dish undone. You may try reducing the temperature and increasing the baking time.

Okie dokey.

For the cooks/bakers out there ... gas or electric oven? I prefer gas for baking. Seems easier to predict how my apple pie comes out. But that could be just me. :-P

Especially Apple. My mom taught me the family recipe that's been handed down from our Eastern European ancestors. It's been a family secret for over a hundred years. A shame I can't cook like I can bake ;-)

I love cooking i make my own raw pasta, i have a food mixer, make my own smoothies, coleslaw, hummus guacumali, green eggs, soups, i love Thailand foods with lots of lime juice coconut milk and coriander in , veggie burgers, vegetarian casseroles and melon slush

I do. I love cooking the most when camping. I even film my cooking during my camping trips to share with people when I'm home.

Yes, I love to cook! I love to experiment with flavors and textures. I really enjoy making things from scratch (from salad dressings to hand pies).

I love to cook for other people, there is something very satisfying about nourishing another person. Sadly, can't be bothered to do it for myself.

Yeah, I like to cook for my family but when I am alone I can even forget to eat, let alone to cook..

When we have guests over (pretty rarely, fortunately), I get so nervous, afraid to make a mistake, it becomes just a torture. I absolutely can't cook under pressure. And time limits adds anxiety, I cannot multitask in the kitchen without risk of messing up everything, so I take more time than estimated by the recipe.

But when I'm relaxed and in no hurry, I really enjoy cooking. Tonight I'm home alone, but tomorrow I'm thinking to make brown rice with smoked salmon. ;)

^This^ is me. I ban people from entering the kitchen whilst I am cooking, no distractions, and I take three times longer than I need too

I call this sandwich "heaven" or "grilled cheese with obscene amounts of bacon" or it is better know as the Rocco special:

Two pieces bread (potato)
Butter
10-18 bacon strips
3-7 cheese squares (velveeta style)
Ketchup optional

Cook bacon drain grease
Butter bread thoroughly on both sides
pan fry both one side of bread completely then flip and add cheese to both crispy sides.
Remove from heat when other side crisped and cheese melted
Add 4-6 bacon/cheese layers
Alternate layers of bacon and cheese
At this point I add Heinz tomato ketchup, close sandwich and enjoy with cold Dr Pepper.

I'm a lazy cook, use gadgets to do all the work.

Sweet potato fries in actifryer and joints of meat in the slow cooker, barbecue sauce and shred, my favourites at the moment.

Nice piece of cheesecake for afters.

Pot of tea to swill it all down.

Is there anybody else who expresses themselves within the food that goes on the plate?

I go through my phases. Sometimes I love cooking and baking, other times I avoid it, make the children something as simple as humanly possible and make a sandwich for myself. 99% of the time I cannot stand my own cooking and baking though I have been told it is good. I got roped into baking cakes for a bake sale once, it was horribly nerve wracking and stressful. My bakes were well appreciated for the most part but I decided never again would I allow myself to be pressured in that way.

I love the pressure that comes with being a chef, I hate cooking on my own it almost feels like a chore for me, I need someone there to talk to or cook with in order to feel relaxed enough to cook. When I get really going nobody likes to be on the line with me lol. I end up dancing around people trying to get the best food out.
