Dinner time

What time do you eat dinner? Am I the only one who likes to eat early? I like to eat around 2-3 pm. My parents like to eat at 5pm and I hate it. I can’t wait that long to eat. Then, my mom is like have a snack. I’ve already had snacks today and if I continue to eat snacks then, I’m going to be full and not eat dinner.
Nope i'm like a flow chart erratic but my health isnt great so i'm not a measure

In the old days, lunch was called “dinner,” and dinner was called “supper.” (People still do say supper, of course.)
It depends- south east of England and certain British classes it's lunch, northern England its dinner but tea (not afternoon tea)is after dinner, dinner in the s.e is more like supper in the north, but supper is lighter meals.
I think it's the temp, the north is always :( colder the s.e a lot warmer .

It's pretty much the same here. Adelaide was never a penal colony, it was instead a free settlement for those that had either the money or necessary technical skills. There was a bit of the class distinction thing going on here for a long time too, the midday meal was called Dinner by most, but the evening meal was called Dinner by those that liked to give themselves airs and graces.

That changed dramatically through the 60s and 70s, now the midday meal is called Lunch and the evening meal called Tea. No one uses the word Dinner because of the confusion that results.

@Mary Terry - I bought a Haeger clay pie pan. I am so looking forward to make my friend his favorite apple pie. If you have any hints, l will be so grateful. The clay pie pan will guarantee a crispy crust. It's also good for quiche.

I've never used a clay pie pan but do use a glazed clay quiche pan. I suggest using a pastry recipe that includes both butter (for taste) and vegetable shortening (for flakiness) and season the apple slices with a pinch of salt, a little lemon juice, brown sugar, cinnamon, a little nutmeg, a little vanilla bean paste, and add some slivers of butter on top of the apples before you add the pastry top. I also like to sprinkle demerara sugar (also called sparkling sugar) on top of the pie crust. It doesn't melt and looks pretty. Let me know how it comes out!
