Disable the Touch Screen Feature on a Chromebook

You know, that one lady we met that one time.

Due to autism and other disabilities, I am physically a little awkward and so the touchscreen feature makes using my computer a little harder.

I might be pointing to something on my screen, and suddenly it scrolls up with my finger movement, or I accidentally click on something on the screen and suddenly am sent to a whole other website!

I have learned how to disable the touchscreen so that my Chromebook works just like a regular laptop, without touchscreen feature.

********

1. First you have to debug keyboard shortcuts. Simple instructions are listed on this website.

How to Turn Off the Touch Screen on Chromebook

2. Next, you push "Shift, Search (magnifying glass), and the letter "T" at the same time.

3. Try touching the screen. Nothing should move anymore.

You're welcome :)

I like the touch screen on my Chromebook when I'm using it as a tablet but I get annoyed too when I'm using it as a laptop and I do the same thing and point to something on the screen and things start going mad on the desktop (or as more often seems to happen with me, I click a link and get bunch of shrieking dancing hamsters demanding my attention).

It actually hadn't occurred to me that I could disable the touch function, so this is very handy tip @Yeshuasdaughter :-)
