Do you ALWAYS have a song playing in your mind, 24/7?

Yes an
It’s pretty common for me to make up a completely new tune, create lyrics that don’t make sense, and then it’s stuck for hours or days.
and thankfully the one in my head since yesterday is at least a fun one haha. . . old but fun, its called popcorn, its just music with no words but it makes me want to dance lol.

Thanks… not! I haven’t heard that stupid popcorn tune since they made us dance to it in middle school . It’s gonna be a long night!

The other morning, I woke up with thunder going in the distance.
This song was activated immediately,...
Riders On The Storm, The Doors (1971)

Wow what a nice list this is. . . Its all songs I like though I do like the Elvis My Way better personally. . . but thats just me :)

Although Elvis is actually my favorite guy singer, and loved his version much obviously, I have a soft spot for more relaxing song sound endings so that wins me over there for choosing Sinatra. Otherwise, would have Elvis' version mostly in my mind and then I could have sung his "Always on My Mind" in my mind as well.

Every time I see my own name midlifeiris I hear the song "Mid Life Krysis" by Travis. I often have some song or lyrics in my head.

I figured it out!!!!

There’s always a song playing. Non stop. And it usually sucks because it’s some crap from 30 years ago or yesterday, but I only remember a few words and those are the only bits of the song that I keep hearing.

Solution: I picked an album that is soothing. Anytime I have control over the music (like in my car on the way to work), I play it over and over. Nothing else. It took me about a week. I listened to the same 5 or 6 songs about 1000 times. Now, when the song plays in my head, it’s usually one from that album. And if it isn’t…., I can consciously change it. And I know ALL of the words. So no more broken record blasting in my head at 2am keeping me awake.

50 years of driving myself insane with music I don’t even like, repeating forever inside ny head. I finally figured out how to change the channel.
