The real reason I started wearing makeup when I was younger was because I was tired of people saying I looked pale. In the 90s I had really bad emetophobia and anxiety, so nothing ruined my day faster then someone mentioning I looked pale and asking if I was okay. But I really don't care if I look anemic anymore, so the only I really wear makeup now is at Halloween.
What's the point of smearing all that oily, greasy, powdery gunk all over your face and then wiping it all off, anyway? And if it makes me less of a woman, that's what society thinks, not me. I still identify as female or cisgender or whatever.
