Contrary to popular belief, yes, I do, but only in the last 10 or 12 years.

Most of my life is beyond the internet... My job in an industrial shop keeps me off the internet at work... I have regular weekday things I attend in evenings (club meetings, performances, music, poetry)... On weekends there is lots of time spent doing things, wandering around, and such...
 
Frankly I'm indifferent towards the opinions of others as to how I spend my time one way or another. And don't feel the least bit compelled to justify it to anyone.

Your life is YOUR life. Live it the best you can on your own terms and not those of others.
 
When I'm home, my computer is usually on and most the time this forum is on the front open page because I sit down and take breaks at my desk (that's MY chair and it hurts to sit on the couch or reclining chairs). But I cook and clean, run errands, talk to the kids, work on projects, etc, etc, so I'm not actually on the computer whenever it's on. I think I used to spend most my free time working jigsaw puzzles but can't physically do that any more because my neck issues, so now I work jigsaw puzzles on the computer so I can look straight and work puzzles. And I'll still have pages open to the internet under the jigsaw puzzles I'm working.
 
The internet is both a tool and a toy for me. I really like this website, try to visit here everyday, and think it is one of the best I've ever participated in. I subscribe to a couple of online news sources, snoop for free on other news sites, deal with daily email, do shopping because I hate the malls, and research anything that interests me on the spur of the moment. I have never felt addicted to it but I'm not a gamer, either. I can take it or leave it but enjoy having it on a daily basis and think it enhances my life.
 
I am a information junkie, so I do spend a lot of time on line researching what ever has my attention at the time. However, I have a lot to do away from the computer. My wife has tremors, so I do a lot of things around the house that she can not safely do anymore. We have five kids that all have families of their own, so family keeps us busy. I work about 20-25 hours a week and last summer we joined a four wheel drive club. Now we have a second Jeep, so I spend a lot of time working on it. So yes, I have a life beyond the internet.
 
Of course I "technically" have a life, I'm not sure I could be typing this if I didn't... - But to address your actual question, I don't have a social life. In which I honestly don't care to have a big social life, at most I'd (maybe) like to have a close-knit group of friends.
 
I mostly have a life such as going to college working to be a marine biologist/shark conservationist. I draw, go fishing, and listen to classical rock music. I can go weeks of not being on any kind of social media at times. The only life I don’t have is the social life which meh I can care less.
 
Currently enjoying a long walk through the woods. Although I am now obviously taking a little internet break.
 
The reason I haven't responded again to this thread? I was out all day taking photos, left the house at 10 in the morning, got home at 5:30, just wandering around downtown, did photography with a friend for awhile... Real life... Now I'm home for the evening

Same here. People are icky, so.... yeah, I'll pass on that one.

Though I'll admit that half of my non-internet existence involves either A: my dog, or B: driving somewhere. And travelling, on occasion.
 
Yep. I never really liked computers, it's just what they were teaching in college. I'd much rather be outside playing in the sunshine or road tripping or inside my comfy little home, snuggling and working on projects and puzzles. Before I found this forum, I used to let my husband deal with the online stuff like emails, shopping, mapquest, music, looking up interesting topics, etc. while I just kept track of the weekly tv listings or health information or responded online when I had to deal with our utilities and other accounts.
 
My day is in three parts.
Sleeping, and real life things I must need do during the day, then several hours on the internet.
I enjoy my time on-line for research, news, reading, videos, the forum here and PC games.
It's my alone time.
I still find things I enjoy during the real life days too. Just not as many as I once did as physical health prevents activities as I used to have. Socialising
isn't one of mine either.
 
This site is the most social thing I do on the computer. Maybe because I can only get dialup for the last 21 years, so I can't do large images, social network, or video. I frequent a few forums relating to cars and projects, and other than here I just look things up for text info. I really prefer to be working on things than spending tons of time on the computer, health and weather permitting of course. I prefer real books in my hand too. I don't even like touch screens or laptops, I have a flip phone and an old desktop computer with a clicky keyboard.

I don't like the lap tops or ipads, my computer is a desk top.
 
I only have a laptop, but it's plugged into a 36 inch TV on my desk. And I use that set up to surf the net, read the news, talk on forums, watch videos, stream music, programs, movies and play my multiplayer online role-playing game.

The online game is a cool way to interact. I can join a party where bands are playing and play an instrument myself to entertain. We all laugh and cheer and dance and pull pranks on each other. Go on quests with others. I've had the opportunity to help other players which is really cool since I'm the one who usually needs help with stuff irl.
