Does anyone else…

Have a collection (let’s be real… hoard) of something that just… doesn’t make sense? Or wouldn’t make sense to a NT? I have a LOT of pens and pencils. This isn’t even all of them… and I’ve owned more in the past. People have made comments about my “collection,” but that has never stopped me from getting more >.<

Anyone else have a similar collection?

@iamlindsaythatisall , I live on a boat so storage is at a premium. But I still have several hundred color pencils and a couple of hundred graphite pencils. + several sets of gel pens and markers. I only draw a little. I think I mostly like having the supplies around.

I hoard random craft items that I’ve never gotten around to use. I bought like three embroidery kits plus the hoops and haven’t even started one even though I bought them two years ago, have acrylic paints that I’ve never used and I don’t even paint, and I also have a lot of yarn.

I do the same with my craft stuff. I have plans to use them but sometimes I get things that I can’t remember why I got it so have hoarded it since.

I collect a lot of things, but the one that probably makes the least sense is coffee mugs… everyone keeps telling me I only need a few. I have about 30.
This one is my favorite :) It was a Christmas present last year.

Honestly… living on a boat sounds fabulous. I doodle and draw from time to time. It’s been a while since I’ve attempted, though.

I’ve thought about getting into embroidery… but I feel it’d just turn into another hoarding situation! :p I bet it’s a nice stim, honestly.

I feel ya!! I have issues with my object permanence, as well… I’ll get something and forget it exists. Then I suddenly have 3 of said thing…

I have a lot of pictures of old houses and it doesn`t really make sense. It`s just old run down and broken houses. It started with one house I happened to walk past in a forest and now I have a few hundred of them.

SO COOL THOUGH! It sounds like a relaxing hobby :) I’d have a hard time stopping myself from looking around the houses… likely dangerous, but it’d be so cool!

Awww! How sweet! Honestly, the more the merrier! :D

When I was in high school and college I used to collect those free AOL CDs that you'd receive in the mail. But only unique ones. Talk about making no sense. My friends definitely found it odd but then they started giving me ones they'd get too. One of them suggested that I make some sort of mosaic artwork out of them but I never did.

My mother thinks my collections of 90’s novels, movies, comics, manga, music CDs, anime, cartoons, and video games are pointless.

My friend gets free in the mail porn DVDs. Depending on the person, YMMV.

Foreign coins, photo albums, political buttons and bumper stickers, bottle openers, music, dvds, and as a young boy I had a hell of an original Matchbox car collection. And so many plastic models...

Nah, I don't collect much. :p Though my urge to purge keeps a lot of it in check at times.

I'm in the same "boat" as you...except it's a motorhome. ;P Living in a small space definitely limits my collecting ability. I do love some good office/art supplies, books, vintage and antique art/clothing/glassware, etc, but I have had to downsize many times over the years just to have a livable space. We've been living in RVs/campers for ~5 years now.

I love it. Do you still have the collection?

90s were a good time… I grew up in the early 2000s, really.

Interesting thing to collect. My grandpa had quite the stash of Playboys.

That political button collection idea is very tempting to start…

This past summer and fall we had to be in the states taking care of family business. We were couch surfing for 5 months total. I don't recommend that!
But all this time spent in real rooms, with actual furniture, prompted us to start looking for a house.

I could even buy another kiln and work on my enamels. That is rather exciting!

We are currently house hunting as well! I only wish it were easier/more expedient a process! I want my microscopy setup + dream library!

Sadly no.

This is my keychain:

Need I say more?

(Also only the car key and one other actually DO anything. The other keys unlock nothing at all)

I grew up in the 90’s and I honestly wish that decade never ended. My mind often goes back to the mid and late periods.

What happened to those Playboys?

I collect ero/hentai media. I prefer drawings and animation nine times out of ten when it comes to erotica. ;)
