Is that all you have?Have a collection (let’s be real… hoard) of something that just… doesn’t make sense? Or wouldn’t make sense to a NT? I have a LOT of pens and pencils. This isn’t even all of them… and I’ve owned more in the past. People have made comments about my “collection,” but that has never stopped me from getting more >.<
Anyone else have a similar collection?
You can promote those of poor quality as Lomography. It`s a good idea, people make books of everything. But I think I would have to go back and take better pictures of some of them. I didn`t focus on the quality of the pictures to begin with.
I agree, I build cedar-strip canoes and kayaks, and while I have made errors of workmanship in small touches, I see that I am the only one aware of the imperfections. Hence my tagline, "Embrace Imperfection."I`m a stickler for quality, but maybe. My dad told me something when I was very young, he said; Everything worth doing is worth doing right. So I like to be thorough.
I have a collection of video games. And shows / movies. I used to collect physical things though. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle coins, were one such collection. Thomas the tank engine and friends, were another collection. Batman, dye cast metal toys were another. "Mr Doo-bee" Plush toys from a show called romper room, were another. There has been a few over the years. My latest, was when i was a teenager, and it was pokemon cards, and Digimon / Tamagotchi toysHave a collection (let’s be real… hoard) of something that just… doesn’t make sense? Yes, I'm acquainted with Offerman's work. It is satisfying paddling a boat that one has built. That is impressive. I work with wood too. Have you seen this book by the way? The author is a big fan of woodwork and canoes.

I grew up in the 90’s and I honestly wish that decade never ended. My mind often goes back to the mid and late periods.
What happened to those Playboys?
I collect ero/hentai media. I prefer drawings and animation nine times out of ten when it comes to erotica.
I collect movies, video games and vinyl records.
Is that all you have?
I only have one deliberate collection of Trilobites. However, as much as I don't value knicknacks, I have managed to have a bunch of Zuni fetishes; frogs and snakes. I can recount each trip that I acquired each. Once met one of the Quam family, noted artisans, and mentioned that I valued the style of frogs of their's I had. She smiled and eyed my spouse and I and said, "You know the meaning of the frog? . . . . . Fertility." And chuckled.

I have a lot of duck-shaped things and a lot of Winnie the Poohs. But those aren't really unusual, I don't think. I can't tell.
Rocks more than anything.
Some are displayed, but, I don't have enough room for them all, so there are boxes full in my closet.
Ink pens is another I can't resist. Cups full of them all through the house.
Dragons and sunflowers.

I collect almost everthing. Rocks, dead bugs, cardbord, plants and a bunch more. These are some of my favorit rocks.
I also hoard boxes. I keep wanting to make stuff with them but never get around to it. These range from projects for the Nintendo Labo Garage in each kit to fashion doll items and house all made from reusing packaging and bottles and the such. I also keep buying perm rods and hair curlers wanting to use them to style wigs for my drag looks but I also never used them. And then I also hoard anything that fits me that I can use for drag and makeup and shoes yet I haven’t even done an open stage or show since 2018.
It`s not a canoe but I have made a few of these things, it`s nice to work with wood. Even the smell is nice, I enjoy the smell of pine very much.

Happiness ceased in 2001, imo... I grew up around the emo/scene era, so no one was happy!
Not sure what happened to the Playboys. I'm guessing the sons' wives made them throw em out.
pr0n never did anything for me. I was in my early 20s when I first looked it up deliberately out of curiosity and was never interested in it. "...I don't get it..." was my reaction. Pretty sure that makes ME the weirdo.
I miss 2001. I played Mobile Suit Gundam Journey to Jaburo for a whole summer and my taste in music truly started to develop. I honestly wish I engaged with the emo crowd, especially with the ladies in it!
My mother said when she was married to her first husband and they were selling their house, the would be buyers came across her ex’s hidden porn stash! My mother joked that local teens did that instead of him and chewed him out for it after the deal was made!
Interestingly, I’ve talked with some women about erotica and the ones I talked to prefer drawings as well as animation of it. They found most mainstream porn to be “male centric” as well as boring.
Oh, I also have that collection... I often go through it right before I fall asleep >.<I collect bad memories and moments of extreme awkwardness in my brain. Does that count?
I sometimes wake up at 3:00am and then quickly go through all bad memories from the past 30 years. I have no idea why, it`s such a stupid thing to do but it happens.
I hoard information on topics that interest me and make lists. Topics tend to vary.
