does autism make one sensetive?

Could you specify what you mean by sensitive?

Sensitive to sensory stimulation?
Sensitive to criticism?
Sensitive to feelings?
Something else?

It could be said that autistic people tend to be more sensitive to certain things (such as sensory input) than is generally called "normal."

I am very ‘sensitive’. Seeing another living being suffer is devastating, even if it’s a hangnail on my worst enemy. I wouldn’t say that I’m a ‘sensitive’ person though. It’s more a case of being hyper-empathetic.

I don't know. But as a person, I am very shy, emotionally sensitive, and loving. I try my best to always be kind, unless someone is threatening my loved ones, or if I'm being playful. I love slow but deep. And when I attach to someone, it's forever. They are never forgotten or discarded.

I’m a highly sensitive person. I’ve always been sensitive to sounds, sights, music, drama, etc. Lots of things could easily make me feel uncomfortable. I probably feel feelings of fear, sadness, and anger more intensely than other people do.

I’ve never liked criticism (even constructive criticism), and it’s never been a good motivator for me. I always try to act nice around people because I’d like them to be nice to me, too.

Whether all this is due to autism or not, I don’t know. Although I have talked about images and voices that make me uncomfortable in other threads, and autism may certainly have a correlation with that (sensory overload).
