Favourite Cheese?

If anyone here is from the UK, you may of heard of a cave called Wookey Hole.

They make their own cheese there, kind of a mature cheddar! By far my favourite.

What cheese tickles peoples pickle?

I like this dill havarti that they sell at my local grocery store with crackers.

Authentic Italian Parmeggiano Reggiano. Honestly, most Italian cheeses. Parmesan was my favourite as a kid, but now I prefer cheeses which are just a smidgeon sweeter (though still hard) like Madonna. The chewy rind is the best bit. It has amazing texture and great taste as well if the producer knows what they are doing. I can eat hard cheese by itself, while I wouldn't want to with softer cheeses like gouda or cheddar. Emmental is probably my favourite "bread" cheese. I don't like soft, creamy or milky cheeses like sour cheese. They taste too much like milk, and I don't like milk or cream. I haven't tried moldy cheese, but as they have a strong flavor as well as being soft, I don't think I would like them.

It's just a shame that the hard cheeses are so expensive. Otherwise I could honestly munch on a bowl of cheese rinds as a snack...

Pepper jack! Wallace w/cheese
full

(But I like many others.)

I'm from St. Louis so for sure Provel.Provel (/proʊˈvɛl/) is a white processed cheese product particularly popular in St. Louis cuisine,[1] that is a combination of cheddar, Swiss, and provolone cheeses.[2][3][4] Provel has a low melting point, and therefore has a gooey and almost buttery texture at room temperature. It is the traditional topping for St. Louis-style pizza. It is also often used in the preparation of cheese soup and served on salads, chicken, and the Gerber sandwich. Some restaurants use Provel for their pasta dishes with white sauce instead of the customary fresh Italian cheese and cream.

I really can't decide, I pretty much love every cheese I've tried except for cottage cheese and super cheap processed cheese product.

But I will say I do love a nice sharp cheddar on my sandwiches but also I love bleu cheese too. Aaaaaah.

I love cheese. It’s my favorite food. I’m sure I’ve talked about this before lol

Pepper Jack is my favorite. Especially with crackers.

But I also love cheddar and pretty much anything that’s “cheese flavored” (Goldfish crackers, Cheez-Its, cheddar Pringles, Cheetos, etc.)

I also love cheese sticks, nachos, mac n cheese, other pasta and cheese dishes, pizza, and cheese dip.

This will definitely gross some people out lol but I actually like the artificial cheese that comes in an aerosol can (it might be called Easy Cheese? I’m not sure.) It tastes really good on crackers and I ate it a lot when I was younger, but haven’t had it since.
I’m sure it’s not healthy to eat at all but I do like it.

I am allergic to bleu cheese but I don’t like it regardless. Even looking at it makes me nauseous.
I’m also not a fan of Swiss cheese, goat cheese, or feta, or anything that smells really bad or smells like dirty socks.

I like the yellow one. ;) When I was a kid there was only two types of cheese, yellow and brown. The brown was goat cheese and the yellow was everything else.

Not sure if it’s the same but in 2 weeks I’m going to a place called Cheddar!
That is a picture of the cheese shop in the Cheddar Gorge whose sign boldly proclaims Welcome To Cheddar at the top, so it probably is the same place.

There is a cave system there as well, which I gather is somewhat essential for aging the cheese.

These were taken at the same time as the previous photo of the cheese shop in May of 2015. I have many photos of my time in England.

I hope you enjoy your visit as much as I did.

My homemade whole milk, soft, lightly salted farmer's cheese is the yummiest cheese I can think of.
