Favourite cover versions of songs...

I like the Bowie cover, Leadbelly cover. Kurt was apparently obsessed with Leadbelly. Before he made it big. He wanted that raw passion, in his music. He wanted to be bigger than soundgarden, then in October 90, Dave joined the band, and they traveled by van to Los Angeles, to make Nevermind, nearly not making it, because the van broke down a few hours outside of seattle and they had to turn around. This was in the days when he spent most of his time, writing improptu songs, making sculptures and collecting weird kitsch trash he bought, and decorating his house with it. He drifted apart from his girlfriend Tracey, who basically indulged his every whim, and then he met Courtney because he wanted a more 'artistic girlfriend'. Well, that worked out well for him. He ended up in a fist fight and brawl outside of Seattle airport with his best friend Krist Novoselic, in the days before his disappearance. I know all about Nirvana. You know, Kurt once appeared in a barney costume on Halloween 1993 live on stage.
