I'm interested to know what you guys/gals are like when it comes to food? It's no secret that many people on the spectrum have issues with food.

For example, some are very fussy about what types of food they will eat. Some will only eat a certain brand of a particular food. Others can't stand being at the dinner table hearing others munch and crunch. Then you have people (like myself) who do weird things like only eat cheese when on pizza.

What about you?

I don't really care much about food but at times, I forget to feed myself laugh which is a pretty bad thing.:twitcy:
Its not like I want to change my image or really care about it, I just don't for some reason at times feel hungry, maybe it could have something to do with my mood or I might actually have an internal issue but I don't really know about it?

I live in the US, but I am just not into hamburgers, hotdogs, pizza, (unless it has anchovies on it)
altho I will eat these things if I must, I wood much rather have:

Squid, octopus, kimchi, anchovies, and I HATE ICE in my soda.
I like spicy, hot foods when I am in the right operating mode,
or if I get stupidnose that needs to be snocked out I will eat
raw jalape?os until I burn up or until stupidnose goes away.

I love food! The tastes are wonderful, and I enjoy the sensation of chewing and swallowing it. My favorite types of cuisine are American and Chinese-American.

I love delicious food. Especially if it`s done by someone else than me. But I?m still pretty careful of what I eat. I hate junk food so I don`t eat in fast food restaurants unless I`m have to for some reason. And because I practice Buddhism I have reduced meat eating. I once tried to become a vegetarian but that career lasted for only one day so it`s seems i`m not ready to quit eating meat. Maybe I will never be since I like to eat meat too sometimes.

I have noticed that when I start to eat something good I forget everything else around me and only focus on eating. I`m in my own fantasy world. But when I`m chatting with someone on the table while eating, then I don`t do that.

Like I wrote earlier, I like to eat food cooked by someone else. Too few people now days knows how to really cook and that`s why chef is one of the five main professions I respect the most.

I'm very very very fussy but I love to cook fancy food yet I dnt like any fancy food so like it sucks and I cry if I try to trysumthing news it's scary

I hadn't met a food I haven't liked yet. lol Unless it's canned Sardines or canned Salmon. >_<;

Mmm food, unless it smells funny or taste funny. :S

I like fresh seafood. I can really taste if seafood is not completely fresh - even if nobody else can tell. I don't like strongly flavoured shellfish like oysters though.

I like most food. I especially love food if I have cooked it myself - cooking is a minor obsession of mine. I couldn't fry an egg or cook a sausage until I was nearly 30, then I got into it one genre at a time. I lived in Thailand for nearly 2 years and that was the best.

I especially love cooking multiple dishes for a big group of people (20 or 30) and getting compliments. I couldn't cook professionally, my short term memory is bad and I can't multitask.

Im addicted to Brisk (Wierd I know) I got 2 twelve packs next to me now as for food I Enjoy cheese alot I can live off String cheese and I love chicken wings (Crispy) In fact I may go get chinese food now

I forgot to mention my favorites! Right now my number one favorite food is tomato soup. I also like sushi. My top three favorite food "materials" are cheese, tomato and rice.

My favourite food would be chicken. I'm an addict for fast food but I'm trying to cut down and eat more homemade stuff.

Some foods I like include:

Chicken, pasta, chips, ribs, pies, beef, omelettes, stew, salmon, sausages, noodles and many more.

Seafood and pasta --- wow, I didn't think of them, I like them too! :)

And fish and chips with salt and vinegar --- this is indeed authentic.

I am really fussy about food and used to even more fussy.

I don't eat egg, EVER.
I don't have salt, pepper, vinegar, ketchup, mustard, or anything added to my food. I also ovoid butter and margarine in anything other than sandwiches. I especially cannot stand the smell of ketchup or vinegar and I am really sensitive to it.
I only eat cheese on pizza and lasagna. I didn't eat cheese at all until I was 13.
I only used to eat Skips or Quavers (crisps, chips in America). I now also eat ready salted crisps but no other flavor.
I didn't try curry until I was 15. I didn't try Chinese food until I was 17. I ovoid anything spicy.
I don't drink fizzy drinks. Without sounding pathetic, they hurt my tongue.

I'm sure I could thing of more things I don't eat, but here are the things I do eat and drink.

Fruit and Fibre, every morning for the last few months. I have a huge 110g bowl the equivalent of more than 3 helpings.
I drink at least 30 pints of milk a week.
Lunch = jam sandwiches. Banana sandwiches if I am home.
Sponge cake.
Other random plain stuff.

I forgot to mention that when I once tasted milk when I was about 7(?). I did`t like it and never drank milk again till I was 18. I remember how it started; I was in an airplane where I got my food and a little bottle of milk. I was suspicious about the milk first, but I tasted it and I liked it! Today milk is almost the only thing I drink. You should have seen my folk`s faces when one day I suddenly said "Mom, could you pass me the milk?".

I never liked pineapple but I`m ok with that now. The only thing I would never eat is beetroot.

I have never tried beetroot either. I forgot to add on my other post that I don't drink alcohol. I know quite a few people that don't drink.

I suppose I just don't like trying anything new if theres the slightest risk I wont like it, but I'm getting more adventurous.

I am quite picky with food. For example, I try to avoid tomatoes, ketchup and chili... because they look red and... oh my.

Green peppers and green chili but not pickles appeal to me.

Wow, I don't think I've ever avoided a food because of it's colour, unless it's a dark shade of greeny-yellow. I'd give that a miss. LOL
