Gamers Caught Cheating

What is your attitude, in regard to hacking, in multiplayer gaming?
Having spent many long hours helping repair online worlds and contributing a lot of thoughts and ideas on how to prevent it from happening in the future, I have quite a dim view of malicious behaviour and no tolerance or sympathy for those that do it.

The only real way to prevent it is to remove anonymity.

Minetest. An open source game that is very similar to Minecraft. I was heavily involved with a project doing a remake of it and got involved with helping out with a few other things while I was at it. But even with that game I never play online.

I misunderstood where you were coming from.
I thought you may have been involved with a stand-alone Anti-Cheat software.

Haven't touched anything multiplayer in ages, no FOMO or regrets here. Plenty of cheating to be found and too much toxicity and competition. Certain companies will exploit anything they can for cash, so on top of that it can also be a financial burden.

When I did multiplayer, I got wrapped up in all of that and wasn't aware how much of an escape it was. Fortunately, the game I played was for the most part free, but it still wasn't a healthy use of my time.

When I left the multiplayer scene many years ago, the worst insult you could make was:
You are autistic. :p
I am not joking here.

FPS games are saturated with toxic masculinity, and just plain stupidity. <shrug>
It is much worse for some ppl on the spectrum.
My gaming-style was a problem with some NTs.

There were times I was addicted to gaming.
Destroyed my health through sleep deprivation.
Massive back pain also, due to sitting down for hours on end without a break.

Thankfully, those days are gone and will never come back.
I still play, but it is rationed.
