The doctor just told you that you have twelve hours left to live.

But he decided to make you feel better by offering you a final meal of anything you want, expenses be damned. If you wanted to eat a billion dollars worth of caviar, this is your chance.

What would be your final meal under three circumstances?

I already felt much better when he told me I had 12 hours to live.

My final meal is the most expensive coffee (dung coffee), hvalur beer, which I have been wanting to try which is a brand of dry whale testicle beer and pufferfish in garlic wine orange sauce. Laurel cherries with icecream, mango jelly, donkey milk with coconut & pistachio syrup. Winter candy flavored pudding with wheat. I think it would be amazing.

A percolator pot full of decent black coffee
tobacco, matches, and the WWII era briar pipe on the bookshelf
A piece of good homemade bread and fresh butter
A peach
Some good fresh fish, onions, okra, Spanish rice and black eyed peas.
Some garlic bread made of the same bread from earlier because why get two loaves

That suffices for the last twelve hours to pass nicely.

That's a hard question to answer. I'd probably want the best hamburger ever made, on a toasted brioche bun with mustard, ketchup, cheddar cheese, raw onions, dill pickles, crisp iceberg lettuce, and a fully ripe tomato slice, so juicy it would drip down my arms as I ate it, with plain salt and pepper potato French fries on the side.

The same thing I would have awaiting a firm date with the electric chair.

Two tacos, rice, refried beans and a cheese enchilada con salsa verde.

Ooh, I would like to attend everyone else's funeral too. 😋

What about you, metalhead, what would you have?

Mine would just be junk food, which I can't really digest too well due to health issues.

Vegan pizzas, vegan mac & 'cheese', vegan chocolate chip oat cookies and unlimited non-alcoholic beers and kombucha sounds like a good time to me.

If I had a bucket list, food experiences would not rate very high on it. I enjoy food, but it is mostly utilitarian for me.

I would have two items on my list:
  1. making amends wherever I could &
  2. being a blessing as long as I was able to be.

Lasagna, drowning in tomato sauce. Melted cheese on top also. Ricotta delicately intertwined with more cheese. Maybe l should have lasagna with bechamel sauce, that seems more special. Then a huge Cesar salad, and a side of olives. And garlic bread just oozing delicious smells. For desert, chocolate mousse, or chocolate ganache cake, with a coffee cream filling. Finally, a little glass of frangelico, which is very Italian.

Steak and Lobster. Sauteed spinach with garlic. The finest whipped potatoes, smooth,
no lumps with butter and gravy. Creme brulee for dessert with hot French Vanilla coffee.
Then two things I've long given up for health reasons since it wouldn't matter now.
A pack of Native menthol cigarettes and a bottle of 1982 Chateau Lafite Rothschild.
Might as well go out comfortably numb.
Throw some of those Baluga caviar eggs in too. Never had them.

🎼Will it be chips or jacket spuds?
Will it be salad or frozen peas?
Will it be mushrooms? Fried onion rings?
We'll have to wait and see...
Hope it's chips it's chips, we hope it's chips it's chips...🎶

It would seem like a good chance to try the taste of Amanita phalloides (Death Cap) fungus?
(takes days to die from that, just like a paracetamol OD).

[And after finishing that fine but fatal repast, your Doctor calls to tell you the diagnosis was all a mistake and not to worry, you'll live for years yet! 😏]

But doctor, i ate very toxic laurel cherries and they tasted so fine I'm not sure I wouldn't do it again. 😋 and remember, doctor? you gave it to me because it was your deal to feed me one last meal

Oooh! Sneaky! Throwing the hypocritic[sic] oath back at 'em! 🤣
Very below the belt after they've offered to buy you dinner! 😁

To think I would be so considerate to remind him of everything that's happened when I am his patient and he's got my files and my order bill. It's in his favor that I live, not mine. Hmph.
