Some days I separate the birthday according
to whether the member has made any posts,
ever. There are a number of people who register
one day and don't return. There are 'people' who
use variations of the same name and have links
to some commercial product. There are people
who are active for awhile and then disappear.


There are even people who are current. Those
people I am more likely to devote an individual
greeting based on some personal interest he/she
has demonstrated.


It's the ones who make one post and leave that
get to me, even more than the 'registered &
left' the same day. Registering for the latter sort
may have been just a whim. But seeing a person
asking a question that never gets answered,
that bothers me.
