Happy Valentine's Day!

I used to hate Valentine's day, but now I see that is shouldn't be a day just for emphasizing the haves and the have nots in relationships, but a day to celebrate yourself, too. To remember to love yourself, your pets, any special people in your life. Have special meal, have some chocolate, whatever. And not to take it too seriously, either!:hibiscus:
 
Ugh! This thread just reminded me of one the last large events I attended, before Covid took over to rule... Maybe I can turn that into a good memory, and some hope... :rolleyes:

The day after I proposed to my wife she asked me if I was really serious. The proposal was somewhat spontaneous. At the time I didn't realize what day it was. It was April 1st. If you're not from the USA that's April Fool's day here. The day when you're supposed to play a prank/trick someone. That was me being my normal smooth and sauve self (sarcasm)...
 
Valentines day was great last year this year it sucked. No church just fake virtual crap Zoom. I am sick of it. I hope next year will be better.
 
I just finished watching a video montage on the movie Somewhere in Time on You Tube.
The only romantic movie I truly love. I never grow tired of watching it.

It was followed by a short documentary on the making of and background for the movie's creation.
Everyone always said they thought they were the only one who loved the movie.
And it's equally split between men and women who love it.
So it's not just a typical romance movie.

There is something about it that pulls at so many people straight from the heart.
Yes, the music is beautiful, and the actors are also.
Christopher Reeves was one of the most handsome male actors. IMO.
But, what this film makes me feel is something no other does.
The longing for one that gives the feeling you've found a part of yourself that is perfect
and unobtainable. There is no such thing as perfection, yet this drama draws something
inside that makes you feel there is. Somewhere....in time.
