New here and want to say hi and introduce myself. I’m self diagnosed high functioning autistic and still can’t believe this has been my problem all these years! Explains a lot. Look forward to getting to know some of you!

Thank goodness you've found us. We were all bored until now.

No pressure :)

Welcome, have fun and enjoy be occasionally serious.

Or the opposite .

It's all good.

By the way, I was limited to 140 characters on my introduction post, not sure why because I have seen some very loooong intros from others. I wanted to include that I can’t afford to be formally diagnosed but I’m sure I would easily fit the criteria. I recently saw that females often fly under the radar because they have more of a desire to cope and fit in than males often do. And when I saw that females with high functioning autism have strong empathy for others but don’t know how to express it, I knew that was me. I wish I had known this sooner because my family thinks my character is bad because of my emotional problems, inconsistencies and failed relationships.

There are some good people on here in a similar situation to you .

You will find them and they will find you :)

I hope so. The feeling of aloneness is more than I can bear sometimes! So glad I have my husband who likes just being with me most of the time. Look forward to reading about other people’s experiences.

I think you'll be surprised at -
1. How different everyone is
2. Yet with a similar vein of familairity running through it.

The more you give the more you get.
I found it a bit like that.

Although I'm a man..
