A zero tolerance for bullying needs to be established. Schools know better, which makes it all the more disgusting they do not follow through. It would be great for the district to get a letter from a lawyer to motivate them to create a bully-free policy with clear consequences across the district.

I'm glad to hear you are dealing with the bullying issue. I was bullied a lot throughout my school years. Surprisingly, it wasn't by other kids. It was almost all my teachers - and most of my family. My father was my biggest bully. I went to a "backwoods" school and anybody "different" was bullied. Looking back, I can see that I was different, but during that time, I had no clue how or why I was different. I left home upon graduation. Life with autism was (is) difficult, but at least I got away from the bullies. I feel that I learned a lot from those experiences. I have had a good life, possibly helped by what I learned about surviving bullies.
