Hey, my peeps

Would asking my psychiatrist (he is for my skin picking) to refer me to a psychologist, possibly one in autism, help me?

I'd hope he/she'd be able to do that for you. Also, you say your mom's wanting to do that (get a referral to a Autism Specialist). That contradicts you saying your parents don't want you to and don't think it's related to Autism, and now I'm confused. Is it just your dad, or is it absolutely both your mom and dad?

As for how it'd be able to help you in the long term, you may be eligible for Disability Benefits (typically special treatment in some cases like free camping at most Provincial/National Parks, possibly Monetary Benefits as well). I'm not American so I'm unsure how one would go about doing that or exactly what it'd include over there. I'm just going off of my personal knowledge, but I'm sure others may provide additional insight.
