Yooooo, so the name's Miles, and I'm new here!

I was hoping that joining this forum could help me make some new friends and help me better understand what's going on. I'm 21, and only got my diagnosis for autism last year. Up until then my family would avoid the subject and hide it, and push me into acting normal- I still understand very little of my own diagnosis and mental state.

Special interests include- game design (which I have a degree in), writing, sculpture, hoarding rocks, collecting old books, and taking care of our pet rats, Alphie and Petty, in addition to my fiance who's neurotypical and very supportive.

I work 2 jobs and am currently taking an apprenticeship in writing.

Hi Miles, welcome. Understanding your diagnosis and mental state will come with time. You should start to feel more at ease the more you explore. It helps being on this site, with recognising what aspects of yourself are autism and what aren’t.
What kind of things do you like writing about?

Greetings Miles,

Welcome to the forum. Your leisure activities are, I'm sure, rewarding. Learning about one's own unique mental state can actually be a life time pursuit and everyone is different. This forum can help in putting certain personal questions in perspective. Again, welcome!
