I must have tons of notebooks filled with doodles from school because I could care less what the teacher was saying or teaching :| I guess I was also afraid of the teacher and asking him or her for help back then ...

Isn't this a symptom of ADHD ?
 
yes after a while in class I lose my focus and stare and listen, I hear the words but they don't reach me, they are meaningless.
