How do you really feel about the AC community?

i have found this site to be a life saver. it is amazing
how comforting becoming familiar with the regulars
here and seeing something simple, like a regular has
posted a song and i can already tell, roughly what kind
of song it is likely to be or seeing the banter and funny
comments in the game threads, the sense of familiarity
and community is special.

i live a very limited life these days and it is great to
be able to check in and share in the other members
achievements and see new pieces of art posted etc
i probably spend way too much time here but this
place feels like a safe and familiar refuge in a mad
unsafe and messed up world.

I prefer internet socializing with the AS community over NT, and the AC community over the other Aspie forums I have tried. I Guess that makes me a ASAC.

I love it. Here I find people who, for the most, think like I do. I found the facts about Asperger's Syndrome though research. I found the personalities of Asperger's Syndrome here.

I love it until people start coming after for being un-PC... The government as far as I know only comes after you if you encourage people to break the law... Not for having an opinion...

I find it very helpful and supportive. I didn't find the other very well known Asperger's forum supportive at all, for various reasons. I also used to post on some other mainly NT forums where people made fun of how I write-something I have not experienced here.

I love this place, there are a lot of people to talk too. I have "met" people who genuinely share my interests and I feel I can moan/vent about issues that annoy me knowing that there will be people here who really do understand.

AC rox ! :D:cool:

As confused as with any other social things. Most people here are kind, tolerant, self - aware , make time for others and have a wonderfully unique (and often witty) way of looking at things. They support each other and that's brilliant. Sometimes I feel like I've made some friends, and other times I feel invisible. Maybe I'm too annoying to fit here either, I don't know...but the place itself is fab.

The sheer size of this place was intimidating at first but I feel comfortable here now.

It is such a privilege to be able to talk with people who get it. Even when I can't find the right words, people get it.

I don't need the physical presence of people because I have real friends here. :)
