How Often Do You Bath?

I have a shower every other day, more often in summer. I don't have sensitivity issues, and love warm water. I don't like the feeling or a rough towel, though, and don't like water on my face. The shower is gentle, not too powerful.

I live in an assisted living facility, so I have a caretaker help me take my baths. I'd complain, but the woman who assists me is a Spanish Goddess. Luckily ol' Slack ain't shy ;) and she doesn't seem to mind the task :p:cool:

Drying off can definitely be a sensory nightmare, but they have very soft cloths, cleaned daily. You wouldn't believe it, but the bathing area is fully carpeted with a nice 1970s shag. Talk about comfort!

The long and short of it is, you really win some and you lose some when it comes to the daily tasks in life, living with Aspergers.

Baths every night before bedtime, mainly in the winter. I shower when it's hot or when I need to wash my hair. Don't find it a sensory nightmare, now brushing my teeth with regular toothpaste, that's a sensory nightmare.
This is unrelated to this thread but what do you use instead of regular toothpaste because I struggle a lot to clean my teeth and need to do it because I have some cavities

I was wondering too, what is better than regular paste?
I have issues with the regular paste and the only type
I've found I like better is the creamy liquid type that comes in a squeeze bottle.
It's not so pasty and foamy.

I've seen different toothpastes and tablets advertised in alternate type (read hippy) stores, places like lush, etc. If you just hate the taste of mint, lots of kid toothpastes have other flavours.

Pan galactic gargle blaster! I like the sound of that!

I use a very bland tasting toothpaste, it tastes slightly mint like but doesn't seem to almost chemically burn the inside of my mouth. I'm in canada, it's a local brand called green beaver mint. Have used baking soda paste in the past, but it's so bitter. You should go to a pharmacy or a health foods store and find something that's not strong-tasting. You'll have to try local brands until you find something that works for you. You can also try making it:

I don't like mint toothpaste either because it feels like it burns my mouth, I always use one with herbs rather than mint.

About the toothpaste, I use weleda. It makes no foam at all, slightly minty taste but not much and it's all natural.
About the bath, I shower every day, rarely bath, I really like the (not too) hot water but I really hate the cold afterwards. (Although it's never too cold where I live, I just don't like getting out of the shower).

Have you ever tried Uncle Harry's Toothpaste? It has become my very favorite toothpaste.

I keep a small space heater in the bathroom and turn it on high before I shower. It makes everything toasty warm when I get out of the shower and my towel is warm, too.

I prefer to shower over a bath and I have a shower everyday, though when I was younger it was less frequent and use to let my hair become an oily, tangled mess and I also use to hate having it brushed but I’m much better now with washing my hair.

canf f***ing stand water trickling down my face, my skin in general, and where i live now there is no tub so i have to shower (every third day now) im fairly stinky most of the time but its ok because i like the smell, like a man. no one ever says i stink and need a bath so until someone does, im good.
