How was this past year 2018 for you?

Wasn't a bad year. Found ways to be much more self-accepting about my anti-social ways. I haven't often felt depressed, but sometimes indifferent. More times I've felt very comfortable in my various interests. I started writing a bit about autism and my experience related to it, and by I bit I mean just under 30,000 words. It's been therapeutic and I'd recommend it to anyone.

The years are going by way too fast and I'll be old and feeble before I even know it. I'm very afraid of losing my mobility, my independence and my resistance to disease as I get older. I'm almost 45 and I just recently developed bursitis in my left shoulder and can't move my arm as well (I'm left-handed).:worried:

My year has been about the same as it was last year. Things are rocking along just fine. I still have my fun job at the pizza place. I have gone on a couple of good trips this year. One of them was down to the Grand Canyon. I just got back from Yellowstone which was my second trip of the year. It was real cold in Yellowstone and snowed most of the time. It was 4 degrees the first day I got there. It still was a lot of fun. I took many pretty pictures while I was there. I look forward to going to new places this year.

Better than 2017, which in turn was better than 2016. Things couldn't have got much worse than 2016. At least, nothing really bad happened to me this last year.

The worst year of my life. 2011 was bad but 2018 took the cake. Things went bad with my house partner and I spent most of the year splitting up, including hiring a lawyer and going to court. My 17 year old daughter turned on me and said she was never coming back and moved out. Fought a bad molar most of the year. Had a blood clot last winter. Then what started with pooping blood turned into barely being able to eat and trying to schedule hiatal hernia surgery. Which never happened because only 2 weeks after getting my ex out of the house, barely getting the place cleaned up and my stuff moved in, I had a severe bowel blockage and needed surgery. Then just as I was finally getting healed up from that, on Christmas I got hit with the worst flu of my life, I was out of commission for a week. So it was bad right up until the new year.

I'm hoping this year will be better, but just a couple days after feeling better from the flu, I felt another blood clot develop. My mom has been living at my house since I went to the hospital mid October, to help take care of things. I'm thankful that we get along well.
