I feel things in sobriety that I would rather not feel.

OK, I am not going to buy alcohol on the way home. Instead, I will buy a bucket of Popeye's chicken. Forget my diet. What's the use of getting healthy if life is going to suck anyway?
You did it. You overcame a moment of perfectly understandable temptation. Sometimes, we must choose "harm reduction" in recovery. It is much better to falter on a diet than to falter on sobriety at this moment.

Feel proud. This is important. ❤️
 
Seriously, I feel like I need a drink or a few.

I am denying myself. But I feel like I need one just to feel level.
 
Maybe you can find something else to feel level. A drink will take away the progress. A drink will steal your sobriety. It won’t bring the feelings you want in the end.
