I think my spirit animal might be either a dolphin or a snake, not an otter

I found mine in a unique way.
My cousin was a psychologist/hypnotist and native American.
He hypnotized me and told me to walk down a path in my mind through the woods.
Look for an animal that would come out of the woods and walk with me.

It happened and when I woke up I told him I didn't know what the animal was.
Looked similar to a Coatimundi, but not exactly.
I later found the animal was a Ring-tailed Lemur.
It fits.
